Do you have a relationship with the river? Do you have a personal ritual, some kind of intuitive, or spiritual connection with it?
In August — between 18 and 22 August — La piena / The Flood, a project by Francesca Grilli, artist in residence at Lungomare, will explore the relationship between human bodies and the rivers of the Bolzano area.
Open Call
From now until the 15th of August we open a call to anyone who has a deep connection with water or who works with water as a material, a medium or a living presence. Over the course of five days, there will be informal gatherings, walks along the river, and group activities centered on observing and listening to the water. This will be an open-ended process in which the experiences and stories of the invited participants will form an integral part of the artistic work. Through these shared activities, the river will be explored as a relational space, capable of evoking individual and collective memories, as well as inspiring new ways of imagining the present.
No specific skills are required. What is required, however, is a willingness to share a personal connection with water, in whatever form it may take.
