The first event of the Public Program, The wild, the oneiric, and the disastrous, taking place from 26 to 28 June 2026, offers a reflection on the present as a space of passage and transformation, where memory, imagination, and critical thinking become tools for navigating the complexities of the contemporary world and opening up new possibilities for relating to it.
On the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, the Italian Pavilion presents Con te con tutto, a project by Chiara Camoni curated by Cecilia Canziani and promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture. Conceived as a space for encounter, exchange, and the collective construction of meaning, the project invites reflection on the relationships that bind human beings, landscapes, memories, and other forms of life, imagining alternative ways of inhabiting the present.
Accompanying the exhibition is an extensive Public Program, conceived and developed by Angelika Burtscher and Daniele Lupo (Lungomare), which expands its perspectives through performances, workshops, dialogic tours, urban explorations, and moments of public exchange. The program is designed to foster dialogue between the Pavilion and the city of Venice, engaging cultural institutions, research centers, and local initiatives in a shared process of reflection and participation.
Structured into three weekends taking place in June, September, and October 2026, the Public Program develops around three interconnected lines of inquiry, addressing themes such as memory, landscape, forms of collective intelligence, vocality, and the transmission of knowledge.

WITH SICKLES OF LOVE (LULLABY FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM)
Performance and concert by Giorgiomaria Cornelio with Arcicoro (Circolo ARCI Franca Trentin Baratto) and music by Roberto Paci Dalò.
Giorgiomaria Cornelio presents a poetic-performative piece for the Italian Pavilion’s Public Program, in which his voice intertwines with the voices of the Arcicoro of Venice. The work explores the dream as a political field of collective transformation, resisting desolation and resignation. Poetry and song merge with the music of Roberto Paci Dalò — acoustic instruments and live electronics — creating an “acoustic forest” in which the word becomes a vehicle for collective participation and an opening toward possible worlds.

A guided tour of the exhibition led by Annalisa Metta and Ilaria Gianni, who, from different perspectives, reflect on the relationships between landscape, narrative, and contemporary artistic practices.
An opportunity to delve deeper into the themes of the Italian Pavilion Con te con tutto through an open exchange between landscape architecture, curatorial practice, and critical research.

EXPLORING AMPHIBIOUS LANDSCAPES. READING AND WALK TO FORTE DI SANT’ANDREA

In collaboration with NICHE Centre for Environmental Humanities (Ca’ Foscari University of Venice), Microclima, PhD Programme in Architecture, City and Landscape – Roma Tre University, Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia
A collective experience that begins with a choral reading inside the Italian Pavilion, then extends to the Isola del Forte di Sant’Andrea — a place of layered histories, hybrid natures and unstable forms. Annalisa Metta – in conversation with Giorgio Andreotta Calò, together with their students and the researchers from NICHE, in particular the Ecological Art Practices research group – leads a reflection on landscape as an amphibious condition: between heritage and abandonment, nature and artifice, permanence and transformation. The journey includes a boat trip from the Arsenale and a convivial pause on the island.

The performance returns in a new setting, bringing the poetic and sonic dispositif conceived by Giorgiomaria Cornelio and Roberto Paci Dalò into the evocative spaces of Ocean Space.
