Mycelium offers a living blueprint for regenerative societies: horizontal, cooperative, and adaptable. It challenges individualism and hierarchies and proposes a “we” that is stronger than any “I.” Beyond the metaphor, fungi provide insights into how interpersonal relationships can be created and organised. Constructive activism that goes beyond protest and enables rebuilding—just as mycelium—can restore balance to overburdened soil and prepare for new life.
In this lecture and workshop, organized by the Museum of Nature South Tyrol and hosted by Lungomare, we will explore mycelium as a horizontal, collaborative, and adaptive network, and how it can function as a radical model for our societies.

The workshop will be moderated by Yasmine Ostendorf-Rodríguez, founder and director of the Green Art Lab Alliance and author of “Let’s Become Fungal! – Mycelium Teachings and the Arts” (2023).”
