Lungomare presents Through the Prism of Borders, the publication accompanying the exhibition currently on view at the National History Museum in Sofia until August 29. The project will travel to Bolzano in autumn in an exhibition across several local museum spaces.

On Saturday, June 21st, the curators, together with Maria Cheresheva, Ahmed Nuri, Viktoria Draganova, Boris Missirkov & Georgi Bogdanov, will present the book in a discussion hosted by Swimming Pool, offering critical insights and reflections on the role that border territories play in shaping identity, society, and cultural belonging.

Published by Kunstverein Publishing Milano and edited by Katia Anguelova, Angelika Burtscher, and Marion Oberhofer, and designed by Lungomare, the book includes newly commissioned texts and documents the creation process behind new works by Esra Ersen, Boris Missirkov & Georgi Bogdanov, Ivan Moudov, ZimmerFrei (Anna de Manincor), and Zorka Wollny. A special insert features Documenting Border Barriers, a project by Pamela Dodds.
