The aim of Flussbaden Bozen-Bolzano is to initiate a public conversation around the topic of river bathing in Bolzano, while at the same time fostering a greater appreciation of the city’s urban nature and of the sense of freshness we seek during the summer season, experienced with greater awareness.

The project seeks to explore together the potentials and risks of a river understood as a shared space, asking what new forms of care, attention, and collective responsibility can be imagined in our everyday relationship with the river. At the same time, it raises questions about the forms of risk that emerge when a watercourse becomes accessible, traversable, and inhabitable, and how these risks can be addressed not individually, but collectively.

The project is based on practices of self-education, processes of shared awareness-building, and an ongoing dialogue with local institutions, drawing inspiration from other European contexts where rivers have already become an integrated part of citizens’ everyday lives.

The collective is open to everyone! If you would like to be part of it, write to info@lungomare.org
